RN
I have been a Registered Nurse since 2008, graduating right here in Hutchinson at Ridgewater College. My background has primarily been in acute and critical care nursing within the hospital setting.
More recently, I feel I have found my true calling. I have worked in detox and residential substance use disorder treatment, where I discovered a deep passion for helping individuals find freedom and healing from addiction. My passion for the recovery field comes from my own personal journey. Having been in recovery for over six years, I understand firsthand the hope and transformation that recovery can bring. Walking through my own experience inspired me to help others navigate theirs with compassion, dignity, and encouragement.
Outside of nursing, I enjoy anything outdoors and country living — especially fishing, spending time on the lake and with my 2 teenage children. Music is also a huge part of my life, and am so grateful to serve on the worship team at church and Celebrate Recovery. I am actively involved in the recovery community, narcotics anonymous and serve as a leader at Celebrate Recovery. It has been a huge privilege walking alongside others in their journey to living a life in recovery.
I am grateful for the opportunity to combine both my professional nursing experience and personal passion for recovery to care for and support others.
Fun facts: I have an identical twin sister, who is also a nurse, I tried out for American Idol… awhile ago, and I am a Green Bay Packer fan.
